April is becoming well known for the greenery that abounds from the earth AND the green steps we are taking to make our earth healthier for us and our children. Earth Month is a celebration of the eco-friendly education and green living that we should be practicing and improving on the whole year through.
Celebration of eco-friendly living does not need to mean buying more products in an effort to be greener. I do have one exception, and that is if the purchase of a new (or new-to-you) product means the reduction of future consumption. That is why I like June Fifteen‘s reusable shopping bags.
Buying and using one of these bags can save over 700 plastic or paper bags. Think of the savings if you only used reusable bags for every trip to the store! I have seen estimates that say one person would save approximately 22,000 disposable bags over the course of a lifetime by simply using reusable bags.
That is a campaign I can get behind.
Plus, the bags from June Fifteen are fun, sustainably made, and can even be recycled after many years of use. June Fifteen supports a healthier planet on many levels, from the manufacturing of its bags to its charitable donations with every sale. June Fifteen’s totes, wine backs and backpacks, which are made of strong, sustainable materials like jute, canvas and rattan cane, feature bold designs in a variety of vibrant colors – perfect for turning heads while saving the planet.
In honor of Earth Month, June Fifteen has agreed to give away one “Sweet” Reusable Shopping Bag to an Almost All The Truth reader!
