Unacceptable Levels Film and Campaign

Join Me in Supporting the Unacceptable Levels Film and Enter to Win a $2,800 Grand Prize

Did you know that before you walked out your front door this morning, you likely ingested, absorbed, or inhaled more than 150 unique synthetic chemicals?  That’s scary.  But even more unsettling is the fact that most Americans assume the chemicals used to make ordinary products are tested for safety — but they’re not.

There is some exciting news in the midst of this bad news!  I’m partnering with concerned bloggers and trustworthy companies to support the launch of Unacceptable Levels, a poignant film that encapsulates the problem of chemical exposures at low levels.  Ed Brown and his wife Lauren have invested the last three years of their lives traveling the country to investigate the situation and to provide us with a new level of understanding about what this exposure means.

The film is fully completed, but there’s much more work to be done before it can be distributed.  Ed and Lauren need to raise $50,000 to make it happen.  I hope you’ll help us get this film out there so folks will understand why they need to buy safer, cleaner, greener products!

Donate Any Amount for a Chance to Win the Grand Prize

Many conscientious companies have donated truly safe products to help drive the Unacceptable Levels IndieGoGo fundraising campaign (see the complete list below).

You’ll be automatically entered to win the entire bundle of prizes when you donate $1 or more to the project anytime between October 18 and November 6, 2012.  One winner will be drawn at the close of the campaign and announced on November 7, 2012. The contest is open to US residents only.

This movie makes it impossible for corporations and the chemical industry to hide behind the numbers.  Together we can try to use a precautionary approach, and limit the ways that chemicals enter our bodies. Here’s how!
