Martin Luther King Jr. told us…
“I have a dream.”

He told us of the people rising from oppression…
“The deep rumbling of discontent that we hear today is the thunder of disinherited masses, rising from dungeons of oppression to the bright hills of freedom, in one majestic chorus the rising masses singing, in the words of our freedom song, ‘Ain’t gonna let nobody turn us around.’”
He told us that violence is never the answer, darkness is never the answer, only light…
“Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.”
He told us that we must follow love and peace. That we must focus on the positive…
“We will not build a peaceful world by following a negative path. It is not enough to say “We must not wage war.” It is necessary to love peace and sacrifice for it. We must concentrate not merely on the negative expulsion of war, but on the positive affirmation of peace.”
He told us… and yet we still have not fully listened. We still have work to do. Start with your children…
