Worry

I worry. I can worry a lot. I can worry until I am worried about how much I am worrying. It’s a little ridiculous.

But, I like to think of myself as more of an analyzer. I can analyze the merits of one product versus another until I don’t actually need the product anymore (true story). I can go over the pros and cons of one decision for days and each time arrive at a different conclusion. And if any new information is thrown into the mix? Forget it…

But this worry that has consumed me over the past several days has been quite the roller coaster. I have been angry, betrayed, furious, resigned, sad, motivated, hopeful, and all around again…

What do you do when it is your child’s education on the line? As a good friend told me tonight, I will never say that I wish I had advocated less for my children. I will never say that I wish I had less passion about the issues that are important to me. I will never say that I wish I done less to pursue the best opportunities for my family.

Oh no Brenna! I hope everything turns out okay—the education of my children is something I am so passionate about. To the point that we homeschool—I just couldn't see another option for where we are locally. Sad, but true.

I'll be praying for you guys—and I hope you get some peace about it <3

    • I so appreciate that Sara Sophia. I am just truly sorry that the state of education in this country is in such a poor state. I will never understand why investing in our children and their future is not the highest priority.

I agree B; you would never regret going to bat for your children. Even if it puts you at odds with others. (((hugs)))

  3. Thanks for the hugs and support Lisa.

Sometimes it can be such a battle, but I'm in total agreement with your friend. You can never advocate too much when it comes to children. You are teaching your children one of the most valuable lessons of all right now :) To fight for what you believe in. I'm proud of you.

I am a worrier, too. Of epic proportions. But this? This doesn't sound like worry to me. This sounds like trying to figure out the best thing to do for your child. That is never wasted effort.

    Good luck!
