About Me

I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts. ~Abraham Lincoln

Exploring how to improve and protect the health of our children and their world through living, learning, and parenting…

My name is Brenna Burke.

I believe in the truth. I believe in seeking one’s own truth. Consistently seeking truth and putting that truth back into our conversations around living, parenting, thinking, and supporting.

I also believe that glimmers of truth are fleeting and our children can often see them best. Almost All The Truth comes from the wisdom and innocence of their openness to the world. My hope is to protect it.

I’m the mama of three, trying my best to live a green life, pursue greater health and well-being for my family and the planet, and teach my children well enough so that they will all grow up successfully and leave me.

I am a Pacific Northwest green girl through and through.

I adore babies. I am fascinated by natural pregnancy and all that is involved with modern childbirth. Going through three difficult pregnancies and three c-sections (and that is enough for me) hasn’t changed that and has only fueled the fire.

I am passionate about children’s and environmental health. I do my best to pursue the best decisions for my family based on the latest, evidence-based, research and watch out for when I get up on my soapbox.

I am hopeful that I can become something of an urban homesteader with a large garden (even with my brown thumb), chickens, and lots more handmade everything.

I love supporting local people and businesses, especially when they practice sustainably.

I will fight for what I believe in.

I am not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, in any way. I try to always do my best with what I have and know at the time. I don’t even do that all the time, but it’s a worthy goal.

I get excited about new discoveries, fabulous design, pretty things, and love to share them all through green insight, new research, and great eco-friendly products.

That is what I will do here. I hope you like what you see.
